Under The Pier

I took a short walk on the beach the other day. I found myself under the Cocoa Beach Pier. As I was walking around watching the waves as they advanced and then retreated over the sand. My eye was drawn to the reflections on the thin layer of water as it slipped back into the ocean. I have always been fascinated with reflections. I liked the way the water flowing back into the ocean was distorting the reflection, giving it an eery feeling.

well it game me a great idea to try something similar here with one of our bridges. I’ll let you know if I am able to get back down there. They are filming a movie there right now and it’s hard to get close enough, besides, I hate crowds…LOL

      • Hi, Keli! I’m glad that I was able to inspire you! I like all kinds of reflections. Water reflections are especially nice. I like when I can get something colorful reflecting. You just never know what you will end up with. Happy shooting I’ll be watching for your results. šŸ™‚ What movie are they shooting?

Well, it has been raining so much lately I haven’t been able to go back, but the movie involves several really cool, fast cars. I can’t remember what they said the name was going to be… seems like the word “Speed” is in it… I know one scene they are suppose to speed across one of our bridges, lose control and flip the car over the side of the bridge. I’m wondering how they’re gonna do that… LOL. We just opened a white water rafting/kayaking course that is going to be right there… Should be interesting to see.. šŸ˜€

      • We have been having an evening thunder storm almost every night for a while too. Luckily here in Florida the sun comes out in between. The movie sounds pretty exciting! Oh no! I hope they don’t flip a car over onto some rafters!:D

So beautiful! The Reflecting Rushes are very special too – like tracing fine lines with a brush and letting go the ends, but nature it’s always better and of course the praise go to the one who capture it!

      • My family has been in the US. for a few generations now, but they originated in Northern Switzerland near the Rhine. When the moved to the US. they settled in an area of Pennsylvania known as Pennsylvania Dutch. So growing up we had lots of Spatzle and Kartoffelgerichte for supper. It was amazing when I was there how much my home in Pa. looked like that area of Switzerland and Germany. I guess that’s why they went to that area.
